Josiah Stout, carpenter and farmer. He moved to Tazewell county IL with his parents and sibs in 1853. He enlisted in the 85th Illinois infantry in Pekin, IL in the civil war, he was captured during the battle of Milledgeville and imprisoned at Andersonville for 14 months. He later lived in Dubois and Centralia, IL
