Edward W. Parrish, 52, 52 S. 18th St., died Wednesday evening at Reid Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Richmond and former employee of the city engineer's office. He and his father and brothers once owned and operated Parrish American Motors and Farm Implements on South Ninth Street. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; one son, Robert E., and one daughter, Beverly Smith, both of Tampa, Fla.; one grandchild; his mother, Icea Parrish of Richmond; three brothers, David of Indianapolis, Reid of Muncie and Joe of London, Ohio; one sister, Janet Herrman of fountain City.
Funeral service for Edward W. Parrish will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Klute-Beach-Henry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Bousquette officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
