Robert Logan "Bob Stiney" Stainbrook, 73, 5358 Abington Pike, Richmond, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Centerville to Robert Logan and Elizabeth Taylor Bell Stainbrook and had lived in Wayne County all his life.
He retired from Richmond Gear Works after more that 35 years. He was a member of the Centerville Christian Church. He attended Centerville High School and enjoyed softball and was an outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn J. Paddock Stainbrook, whom he married March 24,, 1950; one daughter, Gina L. Matheney of Greens Fork; three sons, George L. Stainbrook of Williamsburg, R. Michael Stainbrook of Centerville and Thomas J. Stainbrook of Greens Fork; seven grandsons; five granddaughter; two sisters, Norma Garinger of Albany and Bernice Puterbaugh of Centerville; nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mills Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., Centerville. The Rev. John P. Wilson has been asked to officiate. Burial will be at Abington Cemetery. Visitation will be fro 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Greens Fork Christian Church or Arthritis Foundation, Indiana Chapter, 8660 Guion Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
