RICHMOND, Ind. – Barbara M. Glover, age 72, of Richmond, died peacefully Friday, October 25, 2013, at Golden Living Center/Golden Rule surrounded by her family. Born January 16, 1941, in Richmond, to Kenneth and Lois Clingman Ellis, she was a life-long resident of Richmond. Barbara was a graduate of Richmond High School and worked in the lunch program for Richmond Community Schools, retiring in 2010 after more than 35 years. She loved her job at the schools as it allowed her to be on the same schedule as her children while they were growing up. After her boys were out of school, she continued to work out of her love for being around the children. Barbara was an active member of First United Methodist Church and spent much of her free time in church activities and being with her church family. Barbara was a mom and a homemaker first. Her number one priority was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Stephen (Malinda) Glover of Richmond, Jeff (Kim) Glover of Centerville, and Mike (Christa) Glover of Richmond; grandchildren, Scott (Britney), Brandon, Justin, Lindsay, Brad, Matt, and Aaron Glover; her first great-grandchild due in December; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Glover; father, Kenneth Ellis; mother, Lois Clingman Ellis Wood; and brother, David Ellis. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Golden Living Center/Golden Rule and AseraCare Hospice for their excellent care of Barbara.
