JW Buie was a Mason and the first business manager for Evergreen Cemetery when it was taken over by the Masons in 1870.

When I first visited the site the Buie plot was clearly marked on the cemetery map but had not been maintained. The caretaker cleared enough brush to show me the grave and only one unmarked stone was found.

A few years later the site was cleared further and two more stones were found, but none of them are marked.
