Funeral services were held in Fillmore on Monday at 1 p.m. for Ernest B. and Susie Alldredge Theobold in the second ward LDS chapel by Bishop Edward Peterson. Following the services the funeraL cortege went to Hinckley, the former home of Mr. and Mrs. Theobold, where they were burined in the city cemetery.

Mrs. Theobold was killed in a car accident on Wednesday, Jan. 9, and Mr. Theobold was critically injured at the same time. He died Saturday morning, Jan. 12, in the hospital at Payson. The accident occurred Wednesday morning on the icy highway four miles north of Mona, as Mrs. and Mrs. Theobold were driving south. Their car skidded out of control and crashed into a truck.

Mrs. Theobold was 72 years of age, born Nov. 7, 1874 at Lehi, Mr. Theobold was 78 years of age, and was born at Duncan's Retreat, July 18, 1867. They were married Nov. 23, 1892, in the Manti Temple and made their home for many years in Hinckley. They moved to Fillmore twelve years ago, and lived there since. Mr. Theobold served 16 years as Millard county surveyor.

They are survived by four sons, Evan Theobold, Provo; Arthur Theobold, Beverly Hills, California; Elwyn Theobold, Long Beach, California; Leo Theobold, Wilmar, California; and a daughter, Mrs. Dessa Cammack, Pingree, Idaho. They have 20 grandchildren.

Mr. Theobold is survived by a brother, T. George Theobold of Hinckley, and three sisters, Mrs. Lazett Alldredge, Mrs. Clara Talbot, Oak City, and Mrs. Emma Spendlove, Hinckley.

Mrs. Theobold is survived by two brothers; Isaac Alldredge, St. George; Leo Alldredge, Mesa, Arizona; and three sisters, Mrs. Desy Goodwin, Logan; Mrs. Nettie Keate, Arizona; and Mrs. Jackson Langford, Mesa, Arizona.

Mr. and Mrs. Theobold were among the early families in this country and their many friends regret the tragic accident that caused their deaths. Mr. Theobold was a successful farmer, and Mrs. Theobold was a practical nurse. They were both diligent workers in their church. They celebrated their golden wedding on November 23, 1942.
Second Utahn Dies of Truck Injuries

PAYSON, JAN. 12 (AP) -- The second victim of an auto-truck collison near Mona, Utah Wednesday died in a hospital ? Saturday. Ernest B. Theobold, 78, survived his wife, Susie Alldredge Theobold, 72, by four days.
Police reports say that Theobold's car skidded on, the icy highway and smashed into the truck.

Deaths of the couple brought the Utah automobile accident toll for 1946 to seven.
