My grandfather was sent to the Tuberculosis Insane Asylum in Superior,Douglas County,Parkland Township Wisconsin as everyone thought he was insane. He worked in a lumber/coal yard in Lake Geneva Wisconsin shoveling coal with all it's dust. His death record says he died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis but I believe he had coal miners disease before it was known and it cut off oxygen to his brain which made him appear to be insane.
