Edward Francs Farris was born March 21 1884 in Brodhead, Rockcastle County, Kentucky, the 8th of 10 children, to parents Jeremiah Burgin Farris (1845-1915) and Susan Harriet (Debord) Farris (1848-1922). He grew up in the Negro Creek section of Brodhead, Rockcastle Co, Kentucky. Edward married Elizabeth A. "Bettie" Stephens, daughter of Henry Clay Stephens (1810-1891) and Virginia (Howard) Stephens (1846-1915) of Flat Lick, Knox County, Kentucky. Edward and Bettie Farris had 7 children. Edward Francis Farris passed away on June 20, 1960 in Brodhead, Rockcastle County, Kentucky.
