Mrs. Katherine "Betty" Elizabeth (Bedell) Blomquist, of Mount Airy, blessed sister in living faith, loving wife of Theodore Valdemar Blom-quist, mother of seven children, was born in Youngs-town, N.Y., passed away peacefully at the age of 76, on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009. Through her forgiveness, true believing and striving faith, united with the Christians and laborers of the congregation of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Delaware, she will soon sing the hymn of victory together with the angels and all redeemed souls.
Katherine is survived by her husband, Theodore Valdemar; four sons, Barton Ward of Newfield, N.Y., Steven Mark of New Windsor, Wesley Kent of Northeast, and Theodore Kenneth of Mount Airy; and three daughters, Jenifer Elina of Colorado Springs, Colo., Joy Katherine of Land O' Lakes, Fla., and Lisa Louise of Mount Airy. She is also survived by her two brothers, William Bedell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Walter Bedell of Temple Terrace, Fla.; and her three sisters, Hilda Luce of North Kingsville, Ohio, Alice Hewitt of North Kingsville, Ohio, and Barbara Gates of Independence, Mo. She has been blessed with 29 loving grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at the Union Free Church in North Van Etten, N.Y., with graveside services at 11 a.m. Oct. 13, at LaRue Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Kordell Wilen and Robert Blomquist of The Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Delaware. Arrangements are by Allen-Manzer Funeral Home, Spencer, N.Y.
