MATTHEW M. ALEXANDER was born Feb. 26, 1822, in Belmont, Ohio, and died at his home in Kosciusko county, Ind.. Dec. 3, 1895.

He moved to Richland county, Ohio, with his parents, in 1826, where he was married to Editha Darling Aug. 25, 1849. He came to Kosciusko county, Ind., in 1864, where be lived until his death.

Brother Alexander embraced salvation last February, during the meetings held at Yellow Lake Bethel, by Brother W. G. Shell, and lived a consistent chrisian life since, and during his sickness manifested much patience.

He was a great sufferer from dropsy and other complicated diseases. During his sickness we visited him three times and found him praising the Lord every time.

He was one of a family of twelve children, only one of whom, Margaret Alexander, is now living, and was in attendance at the funeral.

He was the father of eleven children, nine of whom survive him. His first wife died April 25, 1888. He was married the second time to Rebecca Middleton, Aug. 21, 1890.

At the time of death he was 73 years, 9 months and 7 days old.

The funeral will beheld at the Christian church in Palestine, where he was buried.
