A. G. Bulwer Dies at Cuero

Funeral Services For Pioneer Real Estate Man To Be Held Wednesday

Yoakum lost another of her pioneer citizens this morning at 4:30 when Albert Gus Bulwer, aged 71 years, 2 months and 15 days, passed away in the Burns Hospital at Cuero, following an illness of one week.

Mr. Bulwer was the son of Marcelle and Emma Bulwer and was born in DeWitt County, near Yoakum on November 13, 1869. On July 13, 1892 he was united in marriage to Miss Lizzie Pigg of Yoakum, who survives him.

He and his brother, O.C. Bulwer, operated for a number of years one of the leading General Mercantile stores in Yoakum and were located in the building known as the Lyons Building. After disposing of this business he was connected with the McFadden Co. as a buyer for several years when he again went into business for himself, opening a Real Estate Office in which he was actively engaged at the time of his death.

Mr. Bulwer had a likeable disposition and made friends easily. He was a good man and was never known to let pass an opportunity to help a friend.

Besides his wife he is survived by one brother, O.C. Bulwer, of San Antonio, a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held in the Buffington Chapel at 3 PM Wednesday with rev. Earl Hill officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Buffington Funeral Home.
