Charles William Clark was born on 13 Sep 1885 to William David and Amelia (Liebe) Clark. He was a fisherman and Great Lakes sailor. On 17 Feb 1909 he married Loretta Bullis at Door County, Wisconsin. They had four children before divorcing some time after 1920. On 16 Nov 1929 Charles was killed when his car was hit by a train in Chicago.

CLAY BANKS-- Word was received here by Mr. and Mrs. Dave Clark that their son Charley was killed
Saturday night at Chicago. The car in which he was riding was struck by a train. The remains were shipped here for burial and the funeral was held Wednesday afternoon. Interment was in Clay Banks cemetery.
