Grant Covert, for many years a resident of Paxton, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1923, at a hospital in Watseka where he had been receiving care for the past seven months on account of the affects of a stroke of paralysis.
Services were held from the Newman & Danielson Funeral Parlor at 2 p.m. The Rev. W. G. Friend of the Christian Church officiating. Burial was in Glen Cemetery.
Mr. Covert lived in Paxton many years and was in the restaurant business a part of that time. He later accepted a position as pump man at I. C. (Illinois Central railroad) station in Gilman, where he was working when taken ill.
