This is a transcript of her obituary found in The Columbia Telescope, 10 July 1829:

"Died on the evening of the 25th of June, in Union District, Mrs. Elizabeth D. Benson, wife of Abner Benson, Esq., and eldest daughter of Gen. Elijah Dawkins. Mrs. Benson had recently given birth two infant children."

Contrasting with the year of death on the grave marker (see inscription below) this looks like another example of not everything carved in stone is correct!

followed their Mother
to the bosom of their
maker.
___ now fill the sad
grave by her side.
Disconsolate parents have
caused this stone to mark the
place of her repose.
