Nancy Florence Turner Holt, 77, of Pleasant, died Sunday, May 8, 2011, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Christopher, Ky., the daughter of Martin T. and Maude Clay Turner. She was a grocery store clerk for many years and was employed at Smith's Grocery in Burlington, Ky., and S & J Market & Country Corner in Pleasant. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, fishing, gardening and watching hummingbirds. She was a member of Manville Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Edward Holt, whom she married April 16, 1976; four daughters, Sandy Floyd of Dry Ridge, Ky., Joyce Biddle of Florence, Ky., Patty Stewart of Center Square and Jenny Chandler of Bennington; three sons, Jimmy Biddle of Florence, Ky., Jerry Biddle of Burlington, Ky., and Kelly Biddle of Florence, Ky.; two sisters, Freda Biddle and Mary Biddle, both of Burlington, Ky.; 18 grandchildren; 26 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Galen C. Biddle, whom she married in March 1953; one daughter, Beverly Dinsen, who died March 2004; her father; her mother, Maude Clay Turner Deaton; one brother, Lloyd Turner; and one grandson.
The funeral was at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial was in Pleasant Cemetery.
