Services for Cecil F. Armstrong, 82, formerly of 5218 1/2 E. Jackson, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Meeks Mortuary. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Calling hours at the mortuary are tomorrow after 11 a.m.
Mr. Armstrong died yesterday at his residence, 3921 N. Everett, after an extended illness. He was born in Trenton (in Blackford County) and later moved to Jay County, where he attended school. Mr. Armstrong moved to the Muncie area about 1929. He worked in the excavating and contracting business in the Muncie area prior to his retirement in 1961. He also worked for Chevrolet-Muncie (now Detroit Diesel Allison) and Delaware Machine and Tool Co. Mr. Armstrong was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church.
His wife, Crystal J. Armstrong, died in 1980, and his daughter, Wanda Morvilius, died in 1973.
