NAOMI L. THATCHER
DESHLER - Naomi L. Thatcher, 88, of 302 N. Oak St., Deshler, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Blanchard Valley Hospital.
She was born Sept. 26, 1897, in Milton Township, Wood County, to Fred and Martha (Emmhiser) Rhoda. She married Samuel Bryan Thatcher on Jan. 12, 1915, and he died Feb. 22, 1983.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald of Deshler; Herbert "Bud" of Luckey; two daughters, Martha Wright, Deshler; Mrs. Harry (Dolores) Richards, Largo, Fla.; a brother, Isaac Rhoda, Bradenton, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Thatcher had been a cook at both Westhope Elementary School and Oak Grove Manor Nursing home, Deshler. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge and St. Paul United Methodist Church, both in Deshler.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. Richard Kasunic officiating. Burial will be in Milton Township Cemetery, Custar.
Visitation will be held after 7 p.m. today, all day Sunday and before services Monday at the funeral home.
