Estherville – Services for Robert Edward Carr, 52, Estherville, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Estherville, with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating.

Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery with military graveside services.

Mr. Carr was found dead Monday morning in his office at the Rock Island Railroad Depot here.

A Rosary will be said at 7 o'clock tonight at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville. Visitation will be said at 7 o'clock tonight at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville. Visitation will be at the funeral home until time of service.

Mr. Carr was born April 5, 1926, at Peabody, Kan., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Carr. He received his education in Peabody schools and was married to Dolores Bible on Feb. 22, 1952, at Waite Park, Minn. The couple lived in Des Moines until coming to Estherville in 1973. He was employed as a signal maintainer for the Rock Island Railroad for 25 years.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Brotherhood of Rock Island Signal Men of America and served for seven years in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Carr is survived by his wife, Dolores; five daughters, Mary Carr, Janine Carr and Janelle Carr, all of Estherville, Mrs. Kathy Chandy, Minneapolis, Minn., and Linda Carr, Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Herpick, Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. Betty Crawford, San Francisco, Calif.; and two brothers, Tom Carr, Wichita, Kan., and Dick Carr, of Georgia.
