Jack Benson
Friday, January 19, called another one of Brush citizens to eternal rest, when Jack Benson succumbed, as a result of a long illness.
After moving his family to Brush from Oklahoma four years ago, Mr. Benson went into the restaurant business, and later was one of the proprietors of the City Barber Shop. At the time of his death, he had gone back into the restaurant business, owning what is now known as Jack's Cafe.
Mr. Benson was born in Pensacola, Florida, June 1, 1886, and died at the untimely age of 36 years. He leaves to mourn his death, a wife and a ten year old son, Jack Jr.
Funeral services were held in the undertaking parlors Saturday afternoon at 2:00, Rev. Albertson of the Methodist Church in charge. The Republican joins a host of friends in extending their heartful sympathy to the bereaved ones.
