His wife died at the age of 33 and left him with only four surviving children. He was an Attorney and his brother-in-law, R.F. Taylor was a Judge on the Supreme Court of Florida in 1915.

BROTHER: R F TAYLOR (Judge on Supreme Court of Florida in 1915). Above info from report of husband's death on 4 May 1915. report stated that she had "died many years ago. This couple had several children but only four survived at husband's death.∼Son of Thomas A. Carlisle and Kittie F. Teagle. Occupation: Attorney at Law. Cause of Death: Bright's Disease.
