Mrs. Viola Whitman Hilt, 92, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 30th, 2009 at Frene Valley Health Center, Hermann.
Mrs. Hilt was born in Hermann, Missouri on April 18, 1917, the daughter of the late George and Effie (Zessinger) Stoecklin.
She was united in marriage to John Whitman on September 1, 1935, he preceded her in death on August 1, 1970. She remarried on October 7, 1972 to Henry Hilt. Mr. Hilt also preceeds her in death.
She is survived by step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a son Harold Dewitt Whitman in infancy, a brother Wilbert Stoecklin and a sister Adelia Ellen Stoecklin.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, Missouri and she worked at Florsheim Shoe Company in Hermann.
Funeral Services will be held at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd, with Rev. Rick Riedel officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri.
Burial is at the Hermann Cemetery, Hermann, Missouri.
