Edmund served as a Private First Class in the 291st Infantry, 75th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided at 211 Saratoga Avenue, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army on January 19, 1943 in Rochester, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents.

Edmund was "Killed In Action" in Germany during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was first interred overseas and then re-interred here on January 10, 1949.

Service # 32675691

His brother, SSgt Calvin F. Bonaldi, was also killed in World War II.
