The funeral of Mrs. J. Bendle, of Illinois City, was largely attended last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Bendle died at her home last Wednesday at 7 a.m. She was aged 31 years, 10 months and 1 day. she leaves her husband and two sons and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Pullen, of Leon, Iowa; also two sisters and two brothers. She was a member of of the Illinois City M.E. church, and a teacher in the Sunday school. Rev Sheppard preached an impressive sermon. Interment was in the Copper Creek cemetery. The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
Mr. and Mrs. Luke Pullen and son, Matthew Pullen, and wife, of Leon, Iowa were here to attend the funeral of Mrs. J. Bendle. Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Pullen returned home Saturday while Mr. and Mrs. L. Pullen will remain indefinitely.
