Died on Wednesday last, in this city, of spinal disease, E.P. Dutton. The death of Mr. Dutton is not a surprise to anyone, for if there have been any sufferers from physical infirmities he has certainly been one of them. For four years he has been unable to do anything whatever toward the support of himself or family, and has been confined to his home a great portion of the time. Previous to this time he had served a term or two as justice of the peace, and was then so badly crippled as to be scarely able to walk. His disease gradually gained on him, and about four years ao he went to the Hot Springs, in Arkansas, to try and get relief. this failed, and he came home again, his sufferings and debility increased until finally death has relieved him. He was formerly a railroad engineer, and got badly hurt on the railroad ten years ago, which many have aggravated if it did not cause the disease which took him off. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. These societies have had care of him for the past four years. He leaves a wife and three children in destitute circumstances.
