Samuel Hilty died Friday morning. Service will be at First Mennonite with burial at Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery. He was ill for 18 months. Aged 76 years 5 months 11 days, he had lost his eyesight 2 weeks before his death.
Born June 16, 1869, son of Peter and Elizabeth Hilty, second son in the family of 11 children and the last surviving. He was married October 12, 1882 to Verena Geiger, who preceded him in death. Four years ago they had celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary.
Samuel was a leader in agriculture practices.
Five daughters and 2 sons survive him.
