Folkloristic Spanish singer. At age of 8 he won a singing contest at his hometown, in 1924 he became a professional singer. He moved to Argentina in 1936 due to the Spanish Civil War and because he was a Republican. During almost 40 years the lived back and forth, from Argentina and Spain, reaching success in both countries and recording more than 300 songs.
