Utica, Aug. 19 — Tech. Sergt. Raymond L. Nelbach, 34, of Utica, an aerial photographer with the Army Air Corps, is reported missing in action in the Pacific, according to a War Department message received by his mother, Mrs. Catherine Nelbach, Liverpool, NY.

Raymond served as a Technical Sergeant on B-17E #41-9220, 431st Bomber Squadron, 11th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force that crashed off Tulagi Island during WW II.
