After WW II he was employed by US Steel, National Tube Co. in the Electric Weld Division which was the newest addition to the turn-of-the century mill. He was an avid photographer, focusing his work on 35 mm slides. His other hobby was the accordian. Al, along with his brother-in-law, another accordianist, provided polka music at all of the family gatherings. He was married in 1955 and had one son and one daughter. Al and his wife built a new home on the outskirts of McKeesport in 1960 which incorporated a well organized work shop. He had excellent carpenter skills and could conceptualize and build projects from scratch with out blueprints. His sudden and unexpected death was a shock to all of the extended family.
