South Amherset, O. July 30. Joe Ashyk, aged 45 years, died at his home here Tuesday at 11 a.m., aged 45 years, after a long illness. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and five children, Mary, Stella, Stanley, John and Joe, two brothers, Ben and Victor of South Amherst, and a sister, Mrs. John Dagil, of Henrietta.
Mr. Ashky was born in Poland in June 1885 and came to t his country 28 yars ago. He was an employee of the Cleveland Quarries Company until two years ago when his health kept him confined to his home. He was a member of the South Amherest Polish Lodge.
Funeral services will be held from St. Joseph's Catholic church at Amherst at 9:00 a.m. Thurday, Fr. Eichen in charge. Burial in Calvary cemetery.
