Our loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend went back to her loving Heavenly Father on Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

Christine was born Oct. 28, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Chris and Joy (Gauchay) Cagle. She moved with her family at the age of 5 to Albion, where she attended Albion Elementary and then later graduated from Declo High School. After high school, she attended Boise State University. On June 26, 1971, she married Joe Petersen of Terreton, and they had five children. Christine spent many years on the Petersen farm working and cooking for hired men and caring for their five children.

In the summer of 1982, Christine and Joe moved their family to Albion, where she joined her father, mother and sister in the family business. Christine was a hard worker who loved to cook, serve and visit with all the customers. Christine and Joe later divorced.

On Mother's Day 2002, Christine met and fell in love with her soul mate, Thomas Harlow. Christine and Tom lived and worked on the Willett Dairy in Malta for three years, where they worked side-by-side feeding and caring for calves. Tom was a musician and Christine never missed one of his performances. She was his biggest fan.

Christine's greatest joy in her life was her five children and 14 grandchildren. She spent many hours tending and baby-sitting the grandchildren. She was excited for the upcoming birth of her first great-grandchild to be born to her grandson, Jeffery Petersen and to be named Kiara Christine.

Christine is survived by her sister, Carma Cagle of Malta; her children, Chris (Corie) Petersen of Paul, Pollyana (Jerry) Paules of Burley, Jennifer (LeVon) Willett of Albion, Jamie (Jeff) Ray of Burley and Mary Kay (Ken) Alkire of Hazelton; her dear friend of 30-years, Marcella (Curt) Mahoney of Albion; her stepmother, Jean Cagle of Twin Falls; 14 grandchildren; and countless other family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Joy Cagle; her brother, Rick Cagle; and the love of her life, Thomas K. Harlow.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, at the Albion LDS Church. Burial will be in the Mormon Cemetery in Albion. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St. in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church.
