Services for Johnie "Jean" (Worley) Moore, 75, 107 Moore Drive, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Denton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. The Rev. John Burke, Grace Outreach Church, will officiate.
Ms. Moore died Saturday (Dec. 12, 1992) at 1415 N. Mission Ave. She was born on July 23, 1917 in Tom Bean, Texas.
She and her first husband, Lawrence Ray Worley, came to Carlsbad in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Her second husband, Cecil Moore, preceded her in death in 1990.
She was a member of senior citizens clubs, and was known as an accomplished quilter at the Senior Citizen Center.
She is survived by three sons, James, Kenneth and Wayne Worley, all of Carlsbad; one daughter, Sue Grafton of Monroe, La.; one step-daughter, Sue Miller of Mandeville, La.; seven sisters, Reva Blanton of Shafter, Calif., Zelma Marlow of Fort Worth, Texas, Maggie Lou Mitchell of Savoy, Texas, Mildred Williams of Whiterock, Texas, Flora Hicks of Gutherie, Okla., Eva Bledsoe of Carlsbad, Eleanor Wentworth of Slidell, La.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rick Worley, Curtis Worley, John Worley, Debbie Worley, Tina Worley, Michael Worley, Andrea Bryant, Dan Baldwin, Quinton Baldwin, Aimee Stamey, Timothy Worley, Sarah Worley, Cecilia Wand and Jill Whelton.
