DEATH OF MRS. SCHOWE.
Mrs. Achsah Anna Schowe, wife of Henry F. Schowe, president of the New Washington State Bank, New Washington, Clark county, Ind., died yesterday morning at a Louisville hospital. The body was removed to Jeffersonville and later to New Washington. For some time Mrs. Schowe had been suffering from a throat trouble and recently was taken to Indianapolis for treatment. After remaining there for a period she expressed a desire to return home. She became worse after reaching there and was taken to Louisville Monday. It was decided that the only chance for relief was a surgical operation.

Her marriage to Mr. Schowe was February 6, 1879. Following this Mr and Mrs. Schowe located on a farm in Washington township. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Ira Schowe, who resides on a farm adjoining that of his father, and three daughters, Mrs. Carl Coombs, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Carl Graebe, of New Washington, and Mrs. Edgar Snodgrass, of Marysville, Ind. There is one sister, Mrs. David Huffstetter, of Charlestown, and five brothers, Silas Giltner, Chester Giltner, who reside in Clark county; Irl Giltner, Erl Giltner and Levi Giltner, who are living elsewhere. Mrs. Giltner was a member of the Presbyterian church at New Washington. Burial will be Sunday.
