Came to Philadelphia Pa to work with his brothers Otis V and Charles F at O V Handy Brothers Co, a distributor of butter, eggs and poultry located at 312 S Front St and 322 S Front St in Philadelphia Pa. Retired in 1940 to Glassboro NJ, opening C T Handy & Son, a Purina feed and farm supply store located at the corner of Main and Grove streets in Glassboro NJ. Also became a poultry grower over a large area of South Jersey.
Joined Crescent Lodge #493, F. & A. M. of Pennsylvania on 11/13/1911 and was an Honorary member of Glassboro Lodge #85, F. & A. M. of Glassboro NJ.
During marriage he lived at 6237 Webster St, Philadelphia Pa; 408 White Horse Pike, Audubon NJ and E High St, Glassboro NJ.
