Funeral Services were held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel on Tuesday, May 10th. with Pastor Cindi Greene officiating.
Ike was the son Leo Joseph and Mabel H. (Plowman) Eichorn. He graduated with the class of 1953 from Ithaca High School. On November 4, 1956 he married Judith Ann Shingleton in Breckenridge, Michigan. He resided most of his life in the Beebe & Ithaca area. Eugene was a past member of the Alan P. Goodrich Rifle & Pistol Club and was a member of the A-tractive Tractor Club.
Ike retired from Gratiot County Road Commission in 1997 after 17 years of service. He also worked for Don Sharkey John Deere for a number of years. He enjoyed restoring International Farmall Tractors, camping in Cheboygan, Michigan and enjoyed traveling to Arizona & Florida. He was a trustee of the Beebe United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Judith Eichorn of Alma, MI; 2 daughters, Diane and Timothy Allen of Owosso, MI; Jill Brown of Shepherd, MI; son, David and Angela Eichorn of Alma, MI; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 sister Jane Bodenmiller of Wyoming, MI.
He was predeceased by his parents, 1 sister, Helen Marr, 1 brother, Keith Eichorn
