Carole Bonita, the loving daughter of Harold and Hazel (Bush) Nelson, was born on July 8, 1938 at Rolette, ND, where Bonita would live most of her life. She graduated from Rolette High School with the class of 1956. She attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND and received her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Bonita was united in marriage to Obert "Bud" Amble on June 8, 1958 at Valle Lutheran Church, Rolette. They established their home in Rolette where they would live, work and raise their family. Bonita began her life long nursing career at the Rolette Hospital. She worked there until it was temporarily closed and she then worked at the Rolla Hospital. When the Rolette facility reopened as the Presentation Care Center, she again brought her nursing skills back to Rolette. Due to her husband's illness, Bonita retired from nursing in 2002.

Bonita was a member of Valle Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and served on the Church Council. She was also a member of the local Friendship Club.

Bonita enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed her flower gardens. She brightened the day of many people with a bouquet of flowers or some delicious goodie she had baked. She was famous for her "homemade buns." She also crocheted many beautiful doilies which she lovingly shared with her family and many friends.

Bonita's dedicated, compassionate service as a nurse was second to none. But her love and devotion as a wife, mother and grandmother was beyond compare. We have lost someone very special to us and to so many and she will be greatly missed.

Bonita is survived by her children, Tamey and her husband Curt Honeyman of Regent, ND, Sherri and her husband Blaine Scott of Rolette, Mitch Amble and friend Joann Burns of Rugby, ND, Nona Amble of Polson, Montana and Marty Amble and his wife Bonnie of Wahpeton, ND; seven grandchildren, Jaden Honeyman, Kelsey Honeyman; Brannon Scott (fiancé, Amanda Ames, Trevor Scott; Kyle Clendenin; Sydney Amble, Taylor Amble; sister Babs (Tex) Brown also of Polson and sister-in-law Delores (Dean) Brorby of Grenora, ND and special friend Orville Grenier of Rolette;

Bonita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud Amble in January 7, 2005; son-in-law, Tim Clendenin and brother, Harold Nelson.
