Service for Ennis Dee Barkham, 70, 108 W. Francis T., is pending at Denton Funeral Home. Mr. Burkham died at his home Saturday.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1920, in Mount Vernon, Texas, and was married to Lorine McClary on July 8, 1942. During World War II he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a long-time resident of Carlsbad, retiring as a potash miner from IMCC in 1967. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Lorine, Carlsbad; two sons, Stephen Dee Burkham, Roswell, and Dale Barkham, Artesia; three daughters, Jencie Ballou, Carlsbad, Janet L. Jefts, Roswell, and Shirley McCullough, Hawthorne, Nev.; his mother, Clara Burkham, Loving; four brothers, L.C. Burkham, Loving, W.J. Burkham, Malaga, Durl Burkham, Sacramento, Calif., and George Burkham, Choctaw, Okla.; four sisters, Louise Bryant, Carlsbad, Geneva Walker, Carlsbad, Fern Lawson, Portales, and Dakota Burkham, Paris, Texas; and 5 grandchildren.

A graveside service for Ennis Dee Burkham, 70, 108 W. Francis St., who died Saturday, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
Elton Dilbeck of the Church of Christ will officiate.
Arrangements are through Denton Funeral Home.
