Gordon T. Mann passed away on May 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father Gordon Mann, Sr., mother Elizabeth Mann, and brother Gerald Mann, and brother in law Walter Ellis. He is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter Kelly Hebert and husband John, son Kirk Mann and wife Karen, and five grandchildren Luke, Remy, and Reese Hebert, and David and Danielle Mann. He is also survived by two sisters, Pat Ellis, Sue Johnston, and husband Joe, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Gordon was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. He graduated from Beaumont High School where he played basketball, winning a state championship during his senior year. He later attended Lamar University. Upon retirement from careers in retail and insurance, he was very active in the antique business and an avid coin collector.
A viewing will be held at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Carthage, Texas on Saturday May 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm with a graveside service to follow at Walnut Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association , SPCA or charity of your choice.
