Doris Auman Ragsdale, age 72, of 2453 Rockwood Rd., Asheboro died Monday, November 5, 2012 at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor John Muse, serving interim pastor at Jamestown Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ragsdale was born in Randolph County on July 28, 1940 to Arthur Wilson and Martha Hazel Auman. She was a 1958 graduate of Asheboro High School and was retired from Klaussner Furniture Industries. Doris formerly attended Quaker Heights Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband Sherman Franklin Ragsdale.
She is survived by her daughter, April R. Reyes of Asheboro, NC; son, Frank Ragsdale and his wife Mary of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Stephen Brune and his wife Andrea of Randleman, NC, Heather Brune Brewer and her husband Jeremy of Asheboro, NC, Abril Reyes of Asheboro, NC, Yolanda Reyes of Asheboro, NC; great grandchildren, Joshua Brewer of Asheboro, NC, Cameron Williams of Randleman, NC; brother, Richard Auman of Burlington, NC; sisters, Ruby Owenby of Asheboro, NC, Betsy Mosteller of High Point, NC.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
