Revolutionary War figure. He served as Captain, participating in the Battles of Brandywine and Monmouth. He commanded Kentucky Militia in Ohio against Indian settlements. He was killed in the battle called St. Clair's Defeat in which 890 enlisted men and 16 officers were killed or wounded. Oldham County in Kentucky is named after him.
