Stormy got A.P. Cooper's home place and half of the farm when A.P. died.

Stormy worked hauling dry goods for his father-in-law. His sisters, Allie and Clara, said he worked very hard to support his family and "worked himself to death." He became ill and died. His widow married Raleigh Conley.
