Mrs. Emma Mae Adams, 48, 314 Diller Rd., Hanover, wife of John B. Adams, was dead on arrival at the Hanover Hospital, Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. She had been under the care of a physician.
A native of Adams County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Ruth (Melhorn) George of Hanover and the late John George.
She was the manager of Adams Cancellation Shoe Co., Hanover; and she was a member of Grace Bible Church, Manchester, Md.
In addition to her husbandand mother, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Burchett of Mary Ester, Fla.; two grandchildren; five brothers, Dale and Warren George, both of Hanover; James George of Hanover R. 2; Clair George of Brodbecks; and Richard George of Spring Grove R. 3.
Funeral services Saturday noon at the Hick's Funeral Home, McSherrystown, with her pastor, the Rev. R. Ansley Barnwell officiating. Interment in Penn Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.
