Last rites for Adam F. Giesler were held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday, January 22, in Stewardson Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Theodore Dautenhahn officiating. Mr. Giesler died Thursday, January 19. He was 72 years old. Born the son of Adam and Maria Elizabeth Laver Giesler near Stewardson, he grew to manhood in that community. On April 4, 1888, he married Caroline Laue, who died October 4, 1895. Two sons were born to this union, Edwin, of Stewardson and Henry, of Champaign. On December 20, 1896, he married Emma Faundry, who with their son, William of Strasburg, survives. Shelbyville Democrat – 2 Feb 1939
