Marlin was the project engineer for the Parker "51" pen. He was the mechanical engineer of the 4 man team. He holds patents along with Parker for this pen. Among Marlin's interests were flying airplanes, speed boating and painting portraits from photographs.

This man was my father and if you Google his name you will see the references regarding the significance of the Parker "51" pen and WWII. While he did not serve on active duty his pen was used to sign the Peace Treaty between the United States and Japan aboard the USS Missouri .
