Mrs. Sven (Rachel) Hagen, 89, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Regina Johnson, 917 N. State St., Tuesday morning after an illness of six months. Funeral services will be held at the Peterson Funeral Home chapel, Friday afternoon at two o'clock, with the Rev. Upton Dahle, pastor of the Blooming Grove Methodist church officiating. Interment will be in the North Waseca Lutheran church cemetery.
Rachel Seljeskog was born in Stavanger, Norway, Oct. 25, 1867, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sigbjorn Seljeskog. At the age of 21 she came to this country to make her home with her brothers Martin and Lars Seljeskog. She was married to Sven Hagen of Blooming Grove township in February 1892. Her husband, one son and one daughter preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Sam and Ben Hagen and Mrs. Regina Johnson, Waseca, and Mrs. Serena Bracken, Billings, Montana. One brother, Reinhard Seljeskog, still lives in Norway and nine grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also survive.
