Utahna Belle Gressmen of West Jordan, Utah, died March 3, 2002 at age 88.
Born June 13, 1913 at Blackfoot, Idaho to David Thomas Peterson and Mary Elizabeth Hansen. Married Orvil Gressmen, August 25, 1931 at Beaver, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, October 8, 1948. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints having served in all organizations of the Church in teaching or leadership positions. She served for two years as a Stake Missionary and worked for ten years at the Granite Mountain Records Vault.
She is survived by her two sons, Barton Jr. (Neva) of Murray, Utah and Larry Orvil (Marcie) of Kearns, Utah, 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Orvil, two grandchildren, David and Michele Gressmen, and two sisters, Aggie Sorensen and Mary Cox.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, March 07, 2002 at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m. at the Jordan River Stake Center, 1380 W. 6785 So., West Jordan, Utah, and one hour prior to services at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
