Tommy Winslow served in the 35th Infantry Division, 137th Regiment, Compmany L in World War II. He participated in the Normandy invasion and during his service received many commendations including two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star.
Following the war, Tommy and his wife spent most of their lives in Norfolk Virginia before moving to Missouri in 2006 to be closer to family.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Rae and his parents, James Thomas and Penny (Gregory) Winslow. He was survived by his wife, a son and a daughter, a sister, four grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
