Mary Ann died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in Temple after a long and valiant struggle. Mary Ann was born Nov 27, 1944 in Evanston, IL to Peter Schmitz and Helen Weis Schmitz. She married Eugene A. Kocmoud April 1, 1967 in Skokie, IL. She was a long time member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove where she volunteered with the Rosary Makers, St Vincent DePaul, choir, and other positions. She worked for a short time as a cashier at Purity Supreme Foods and drove the HOP bus in Copperas Cove from 2001- 2003. Mrs. Kocmoud is preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, David Schmitz. Survivors include her beloved husband of 44 years, two sons, David Kocmoud and his wife Gabriela and Christopher Kocmoud and his wife Kimberly all of College Station; one daughter, Kimberly Wilhite of Pflugerville and one sister, Dorothy Williams of Morton Grove, IL; and 16 grandchildren.
