Author, Businesswoman. She attended culinary classes at the Boston Cooking School in Boston, Massachusetts with future culinary expert Fanny Farmer. She was the creator of Benedictine Cheese, a sandwich spread made from cucumbers and cream cheese. She published her first cook book, "The Blue Ribbon" in 1902.
