Henry owned and operated a plane and moulding tool manufacturing company in Williamsburg, Mass. for about 15 years until the plant burned to the ground 12/18/1869. The plant was not rebuilt and the Meekins Library stands on the grounds where the factory once stood. Henry was also a noted wool merchant in Williamsburg.
Several thousands of his wooden smoothing and moulding planes still exist today.
