Arlie Chester Beck, Jr., 93, 12-9-1917 to 5-3-2011. Born in Bentonville, Arkansas and lived in Carrollton, Texas. Arlie was preceded in death by his parents Arlie Sr. and Mattie Beck and his sister Betty Beck White. He is survived by his wife, Martha Koons Beck; daughter, Karen Laxson (Jim) and son, Paul Beck (Cindy); grandchildren, Lawrence and Jennifer Beck and Megan and James Laxson; brother, Lewis Beck and numerous nieces and nephews. Arlie served in WWII as an airline mechanic in the Air Force. He married Martha on 7-10-1951 and moved to Dallas where he worked for Braniff until May of 1982. Arlie's favorite pastime was fishing whether he caught anything or not. Visitation will take place on Friday, 5-6-2011 from 7 – 9 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, 5-7-2011 at 11 am also at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville, Arkansas at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
